FOUNDER

From the beginning of his life, Shaun lived on a ranch in the big buck country of Texas. His father and uncles introduced him to hunting the Texas way; with a break open single shot .410 gauge shot gun in the crispy sunflower fields targeting the quick mourning dove. By the young age of eleven, Shaun fed his family for the first time by shooting a regal white tail buck, equipped with a gorgeous set of chocolate brown antlers. From that moment, the fire in his heart was fueled.

In 2018, Shaun made the decision to bring his night time dreams to daylight and open the doors to Double S Adventures.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER

Alex was born and raised in Minnesota and has been hunting for about 6 years. She's an avid whitetail hunter and is out every weekend with her bow in early season or rifle when that opens up. We made her dream axis hunt happen August of 2020 and she's been hooked on exotics since. A goal of hers is to get more women involved in the outdoors and to help people make their dream hunts happen like we did for her.

GUIDE

When Robert was 9 years old, he took his first buck that was of trophy size and it sparked a love for hunting and fishing that has only deepened over time. Following college, his career took him to the Gulf Coast where the thrill of fighting a bull red was nearly as good as taking down a buck or exotic. Life moved in seasons—bull red, dove, whitetail and Axis—and that is just fine with him! Six years ago he hunted his own Labrador Retriever for dove season and that is one of the best feeling in the world, to watch your dog love to work! Combining all his experience hunting exotics and whitetail from the Big Bend to the Hill Country, and rippin’ lips down the coast, to help other people reach their dream of a trophy is something he’s come to greatly enjoy. When he’s not hunting or fishing, him, his wife and two Labradors are enjoying their home in the Hill Country.

Lane has enjoyed being in the outdoors ever since he was a little kid. A fun past time that he does with his dad is catch rattlesnake’s! Definitely a topic of conversation when hunting with Lane! He enjoys being a guide for Double S Adventures and does everything he can to provide top notch service for every one of his hunters.

Len has been in the outdoors ever since his dad could tote him around. His dad’s passion for hunting and fishing became his passion. The best thing about being a guide for Double S, are the smiles and memories you make with customers. Now let’s go make some new ones.

Dwade grew up on a working cattle ranch in south Texas. Began hunting since he could hold a gun in his hand. Worked as a guide and an outfitter for 28 years. He’s an avid fisherman and hunter. Hunting whitetail deer to Nilgai antelope in Deep South Texas. When guiding, He’s 100% focused on giving my clients their dream hunt experience! There’s no better feeling than seeing the smiles after they’ve harvested their animal!

Karleigh is a Midwestern girl through and through, she's been hunting and fishing since she could walk. With almost 20 years of hunting experience with whitetails in the north, her spark for hunting really ignited in April of 2022 when she went on her first exotic ram hunt. Since then, she knew she needed to do more hunts and be in the industry in some way. With this opportunity she is able to make other people's dream hunts come to life and couldn’t be more excited about it!

BOOKING AND MARKETING

Chase was born and raised in Louisiana where hunting and outdoors was built into his way of life. Hunting with his dad through his child and teenage years will always hold a place in his heart and is the main reason he is passionate about involving outdoors in every day life. He booked a whitetail hunt through Double S Adventures back in 2022 and took his biggest buck to date. Between the amazing hospitality and great people, he knew he wanted to be part of Double S Adventures and share the same experiences to others. His main goal is to help someone experience that same joy and love for the outdoors. Being able to take a trophy animal is just lagniappe!

GROUP HUNTS COORDINATOR

Lyssa Started hunting dove with her dad around the age of 12 and moved into whitetail in her 20s. She got into exotic hunts when she attended women’s group hunts with Double S in 2020 taking a ram and a gator. Lyssa also enjoys the other aspects of the hunt when she joins her dad in the taxidermy shop mounting all trophies.

Lodge Staff

Born and raised in Eldorado Texas used to hunt when she was little with her family but has she got older she hasn’t been doing much, but she has always enjoyed it and always plans on keeping that apart of her life even if it isn’t very often. My goal is to make sure the lodges are cleaned and ready to go for all the hunters to have a good time while they hunt and create memories together.
